Nagaur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot observed the block level Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games activities at Nawan in Nagaur and Dudu in Jaipur on Tuesday. During this, Gehlot met the players and encouraged them. He laid the foundation stone for various development works, inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan. In the function, the Chief Minister said that there is no shortage of any kind to make Rajasthan a leader in all fields including education, medicine, roads, electricity, water, agriculture and employment. Gehlot said that the central government should implement the model of public welfare schemes of Rajasthan in the whole country, so that every section gets strength. The Chief Minister said, “Rural sports talents have been encouraged by the historic organization of the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games. The players from the State will soon become medal winners for the country at the international level in future, said CM Gehlot on Tuesday. For the first time in the country, this unprecedented event in Rajasthan has created an atmosphere of sports in the villages, he said. “Rural sports will now be organized every year by the state government. After the successful conduct of rural Olympics, urban Olympics are also being contemplated,” he said. “Only a player enters the field. Rural Olympics is creating an atmosphere of social harmony in the villages. This will also give impetus to the all-round development of the area,” he said. In the function, the CM started distribution of 25,000 Ayurvedic medicine kits for the prevention of lumpy skin disease. This kit will be distributed to the cattle farmers of Dudu area. In the Dudu function, Medical and Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena said that the opening of medical and nursing colleges in every district is an unprecedented decision. “Under CM’s leadership, work is being done in every field for the benefit of every section,” he said. MoS Home Rajendra Yadav said that youth have got encouragement and new direction through Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games. Nainwa MLA and Dy Chief Whip Mahendra Chaudhary said that continuous development work is being done in education, sports and health in the state.
